Upgrade on an entrance way:    
This is a good example of an upgrade on an entrance way on a standard Comox Box from the 70's/80's. The stucco on the top was removed and 2 cement posts were poured. The two 8 x 8 posts are attached with knife blades inserted into the button of the posts. The 2 beams supporting the rafters are inserted and mounted on the wall.  Now the rest of the rafters will be placed and then decking will be nailed on top of the rafters and then roofing paper and shingles on top, fascia boards and gutters and we are done.
Not too much of a complication and yet there is a total change to the house. There is no comparison to what it looked like before.
